Have Your Say On Age Verification Proposals

Following a review of the Gambling Act 2005, the Gambling Commission is conducting a consultation on a series of proposed changes to the requirements it places on gambling businesses.

One of the issues that the Gambling Commission is consulting on is changing its licence conditions and codes of practice (LCCP) to say that licensees should have procedures that require staff to check the age of any customer who appears to be under 25, rather than under 21.

We know that some members face a number of issues when it comes to conducting age verification checks, many of which could be resolved quite easily by employers making some simple changes. We want to include these issues and your views on the proposed changes in our response to the Gambling Commission.
